Our Story
PCmerge was founded in February 2010 by John Robinson to focus on distribution and channel work in desktop virtualisation and digital signage technology. The company is owned and operated by Robinson Professional Services Pty Ltd.
John Robinson brings decades of senior leadership experience in the technology industry, having previously served as ANZ/South Pacific Islands Country Manager for NComputing (a leader in desktop virtualisation), General Manager for Digital Data Communications (Level One networking), ANZ Country Manager for Anthology Solutions, and held regional leadership roles at AMD, IBM Microelectronics, and Texas Instruments Semiconductor Division.
Robinson's previous role as VP and Country Manager at NComputing revealed significant desktop virtualisation market opportunities across education, SMB, corporate, and government sectors. NComputing granted PCmerge full distribution status for Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific Islands.
PCmerge operates a dual business model: direct sales to end customers at recommended retail prices, and reseller/integrator partnerships with attractive margins. Our value proposition centres on bundled multi-user computing solutions at half the cost of traditional computers, with management savings of approximately 75% and energy savings of around 90%.
